The Hemi-Sync Mechanism

Gateway uses binaural beats to exploit the brain's Frequency Following Response (FFR) — if you hear a sound near theta frequency, your brain tries to match it. By playing slightly different tones in each ear, the brain "hears" the mathematical difference as a third beat — synchronising both hemispheres to a single coherent frequency.
